Principal Profile

Hello North Families!

My name is Courtney Berry, and I am honored to be the Principal at North Elementary STEAM Academy. It is going to be a great year working with all of you to make North the BEST school in the Universe!

This will be my 16^th year in White Settlement ISD. I taught first, second and fourth grades and served as Assistant principal at Liberty Elementary. In 2019, I was given the opportunity to become the principal at West Elementary. In June of 2023, I was blessed with the opportunity to move to the North Elementary STEAM Academy

I graduated from TCU in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Tarleton State University in 2012. I am married to, Josh, and we have 3 daughters, Peighton, Hannah and Lauren and a dog, Bella. 

One of my favorite quotes is, “It takes a village to raise a child”. I whole-heartedly believe that the success of our students is a shared responsibility between the school and home. At North, we are so excited to provide fun and engaging opportunities for ALL students to learn, as well as have an open door for parents, grandparents and community members to be involved!
